I love your references to my favorite poets, Robert Frost and Maya Angelou, and the point you make about loving ourselves and the work we do. So important. I also love to learn. I devour good non-fiction with highlighter in hand, marking the important passages that speak to me, that I hope to remember (but seldom do). A life without loving and learning would be no life at all. Underscoring it all are reading and writing. . . Great piece, Harley. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

What choices am I making? Trying to improve my attitude. At my current rate of improvement, I will have a good attitude three and a half lifetimes from now. Hoping for reincarnation. 🤠

What or who are you coming back as, Tom?

Not sure reincarnation happens. If so, I doubt we have control. If I could choose, hmmm, maybe I would pull a Groundhog Day and reincarnate backwards in time into myself. Probably a fools errand. What do you think are your odds of living multiple lives on Earth?

Probably the same as entering heaven. Zero.

If the truth is hidden from us on purpose, what purpose might it serve? What good might uncertainty do us? Would our lives be lacking some crucial ingredient if we never faced doubts or fears?

Our lives are built on doubt and fear.
